Only Here For a Day
Josh slumped against the wall, shaking his head.
“We’re only here for a day. I’ll probably have something figured out by then,” I assured him. He didn’t seem to be all that happy.
“Then where are you gonna put me? In a hole in the ground?” There was no mistaking the irritation in his voice.
“Well, I was planning to give you your own little place in the woods, but since you said that, it sounds more appealing,” I replied. I pulled out a ribbon and put my hair up to where it didn’t get in my face so much. I looked like a different person, one that actually had a brain in her head. Which I do. But my looks beg to differ. Josh stared at me.
“Do I know you from somewhere?”
