Time for Me to Fly 17
It was the back of Trey’s head that I saw first. He turned around slowly and when he saw me he smiled. There was about thirty feet of distance between us so I ran. I pummeled into him and he started laughing. I threw my arms around his neck and buried my face into his shoulder. This was my best friend. Trey picked me up and spun me around.
“Hey.” He said into my ear. I was still clinging to him. After a year of not seeing him, he was not getting out of a long hug. Finally, I let go of him.
Trey looked at me, scrutinizing.
“What?” I asked a little confused.
“You look so different.” He said.
“I told you I did.”
“I know, but I didn’t realize you’d look this different.”
