Tom was in High School and in tenth grade. He loved school and enjoyed being with his friends all the time. When he went home though it was as if he was a completely different person. Upon arriving home from school everyone would glare at him as if he was the bad guy. His mother who it seemed was the meanest always yelled and swore at him. She told him to do everything that she wanted him to do and nothing of his free will would ever get done. His other family members also showed him that he was an unwanted person. Even his pet dog hated him. Just walking by it made it growl and show its teeth. Tom badly wanted to leave his family and find a new one so he could live his life the way he wanted. He had talked about these situations to his friends and they showed empathy towards him. Tom decided to leave one day. He packed his things and without saying goodbye just left. He headed for his friends house and once there was welcomed but not with open arms. His best friend’s parents also had a grudge on him.
