It's Your Turn

“Your move.” Quip cheeps. He just took out a pawn. He sits there waiting for Chabbers to go. “It’s your move.” He repeats. Yet again Chabbers sits there looking down. “IT’S YOUR TURN !” Quip squacks loudly.
“I know.” Chabbers replies.
“Why aren’t you moving?” Quip asks crossly.
“I’m thinkin’.” Chabbers says. He looks at the chess board some more not daring to make a move until he is absolutely sure of it.
“Could you think a little faster.” Quip says impatiently.
“I sure could.” He says.
“Are you going to?” Quip asks after some scilence.
“Nope, wasn’t plannin’ on it.” He then picks up a castle and slowly moves it over. He begins to take his fingers off it then stops and moves the piece back.
“What’d you do that for?”
“I didn’t like that move.”
“Well you’d better like a move soon.”
“I’ll think ‘bout it.” He replies. Four more minutes of scilence and Quip can’t take it anymore.
“That’s it!” He yells stubbornly. “I quit! I quit! I quit!” As he walks away he hears Chabbers call.
“It’s your turn now.”
