“So what do you usually do?â€? the clown asked, as the waitress placed two pints on the table.

“I like to dig up a long column up until I hit a boulder,â€? the terraformer explained. “I’ll hold it up, till the little buggers are right under me. Then I just step out of the way. Gets ‘em every time. How ‘bout you, Do?â€?

“Something similar. I’ll drop an apple behind me, but if you do it right, it won’t split apart and you can push it to the edge and just wait for them to go splat.â€?

“Nice.â€?

“And if that doesn’t work,â€? Do continued, “I’ve always got my powerball. But you gotta watch how you throw that, because it can take a wicked hop.â€?

“I use one of these, myself,â€? Dig Dug said, holding up his Pneumatic Splatic 3000.

“Dug, old buddy,â€? the clown said, “you gotta tell me where to pick up one of those.â€?

The terraformer smiled and finished his drink. “I’m ready for another round,â€? he said. “Where’s the barkeep?â€?

“I think that tennis player’s bouncing him…â€? the clown said, watching in awe.
