Dave and Steve had been best friends since 8th grade. They enjoyed laughing and hanging out with each other. Their friendship continued throughout high school until their sophomore year. That is when Steve apparently went to far. He cracked a your momma joke on Dave who took real offense to it. Going home and telling his his mother she also took offense to it. Steve and Dave’s friendship was over. Being best friends in the past Steve still wanted to be friends but couldn’t bring himself to apologize or even speak to Dave. Steve started to have dreams about apologizing to Dave. They soon became frequent and each time apologizing was different. Yet Steve’s outlook on the situation was still that it wasn’t that big of a deal. Still not talking and the dreams becoming more frequent Steve finally gave in to what had been eating him up inside. He decided to write a letter to Dave and apologize. In the letter he not only apologized to Dave but to his whole family. A few days later Steve and Dave became friends again
