Put It In
I ran, not looking back.
I wasn’t running from them, but from myself.
From what I’ve chosen, what I’ve done.
I realize that it is not my surroundings who choose my perspective,
It is I, I make my fate, I choose my destiny.
For what effort I put in, surely I will get the same thing out.
If I put in sadness, that is what will eject.
So right here, right now, I take a vow,
Not to put in sadness or grief,
But to be so happy, so joyous, people won’t help but stop and stare.
