The Journey
I had spent most of the night breaking into stores and eating whatever was still good.
Most of the perishables and milk were starting to rot and leave a tingle in your nose.
It was three week to this day they had blocked off my town from the rest of the world.
A disease had broken free and it scared so many people off to every section of the world.
I didn’t bother to try to leave nor do I want to now but with the lack of food I will be left with no choice but to leave my home.
I was born and raised in this town and now it’s all gone.
Friend’s family there all dead or gone!
I didn’t even get a chance to say my final goodbyes to them.
Things went to fast for any one of us to grab hold and understand what was happening.
I had to bury my wife in her favorite garden.
Things went to fast and I didn’t take a chance to say my finale goodbyes.
Nathan had sat up on a hill that night writing in a journal and eating stale beef jerky.
“A place of dreams a place to die it is why I call this my home.â?
