Yeah, write the flip side, Kermitgorf, about how you like the rain. That would be really cool. I personally am not crazy about the rain. I can totally relate to Kate Capshaw’s character in the second Indiana Jones movie: “I hate water, and I hate getting wet, and I hate YOU .” I don’t mean you, personally, of course, Scotty, just quoting one of my favorite films. Plus, I’m a girl so there’s the whole hair-getting-messed-up thing that bugs me. Ugh. Maybe the flip side will help me see rain more positively.
Love the poem. But I love rainy days. Don’t really know why. To me, everything seems, somehow, closer on cloudy rainy days. Sunny days the world just seems spread out and faraway, untouchable even. Maybe that’s my weirdness seeping through. ;)
Ha. Love the ending. Love the rain. Jenunique, I know what you mean. A rainy day is like being contained in a nice little embrace by the sky. I loved the alliteration, and the line about shoulders and soldiers. I couldn’t even say it in my head! LoA
