I Want Those Flashing Lights by Colin Munroe(music challenge)
You saw the mil today; today I’m lucky if I could get paid…Your girls are fine; it seems a dime or two in every dozen. I only wanted one, but I’m no one, so I get nothin’. But all this nothin I got is all that’s keeping me tough. Maybe this nothin’ I got is enough.
Wow, these words really hit home with me. It’s hard in NYC to get a girlfriend and not be selling drugs or involved in money laundering. I recently talked to a friend about me dating a girl and she says I got nothing to offer her because I can’t buy her nothin. By nothin, I mean Prada, Gucci, Dolce, ya know, the girl’s best friend.
When I’m alone when the lights go off, I’m never sure if I could make it that far. All that I know is I want those flashing lights
I feel the exact same way. I really don’t know where or if I could make it as far as I would like to. Who really does? All I know is that, maybe my dream of being a movie director is more realistic than I thought.
