Not a silly sequel at all! Wonderful dialogue that showed perfectly that when you’re nervous or about to do something serious, you make jokes. I like this splinter set of sequels off BARomero’s Vampirism guide. It’s fun!
So the main thing I’m picking up here is that Sean’s Aunt Celeste might not be the same person who co-authored the Guide and provided psychotherapy to a certain Irish zombie bodyguard. Great job of straightening out the continuity on this storyline, THX ! Thanks!
I hear ya’, Ridcully, but I think the Dr. Celeste is a bit too ancient (if I remember the bio right) to be our young protagonist’s aunt. I’m picturing her as a witch maybe, with a coincidental name.
I’ve less of an issue with Celeste’s age, though having been around in the early 20th century I can see how it would be stretch for to be anything less than Sean’s great aunt. The main thing for me was that Ridcully’s prequel had him stealing a copy from her, while later sequels (which were written previously) have the book stolen from Howie’s vampire Sterling Wilson. Also, Celeste, as co-author of the book, should have multiple copies in her home to give out as gifts.
