Sedate Me Till I Sleep
Wipe the blood from my hands,
sedate me till I sleep.
You handle me with hesitation,
as though I may break down.
I’ve been through too much to lose my mind now,
what little of it I have left,
and there are needles and pills for when I become reckless.
It has been done before,
so don’t feel sorry,
just numb the pain until I am under your complete control.
Swear at me, push me around, blame all your problems on me.
You lose control,
I’m bleeding,
the crimson spilling straight from my heart.
Burns, cuts, bruises, wounds,
my twisted form of tattoos.
Just let me go and I’ll die alone,
the way I’ve always been.
But for now,
until I die;
sedate me till I sleep.
