Tell me the truth
Derek smiled, clearly relieved of what I had said. He smiled one of his classic, cocky smiles and pulled me into a passionate embrace. I let myself be kissed by him. Even though part of me wanted to scream out and hit him for leaving me in the first place. What makes him think he can come back here and act like he never left?
Derek seemed to sense my hesitation. “Tori?” He whispered in my ear. His hot breath in my ear sent shivers down my spine.
I broke away from him, and looked him straight in his eyes. “Derek-I just can’t get over how unreal this is. Last time I saw you, you were just telling me I wasn’t ‘right’ for you. And now you’re here, sitting next to me. And it just doesn’t make sense.”
Derek sighed, as if he was hoping I wasn’t going to ask him that. “Look, Tori, there is some stuff I did that I regret. Leaving you is one of them. And right now I can’t tell you exactly why I did that, but you just have to trust me.” And with that, he pushed me back on the bed and we made sweet sweet love.
