Summer Night

Ok, here is another poem from school. I had to use a simley every other line, and it had to ryme. And I ahd to use “ants in her pants” somewhere. I don’t know why, but I did.

Summer Night

She walks alone on her street
As content as a cucumber,
Just looking up at the sky,
A sparkle, bright as the stars in her eye.

She just can’t stand still
She’s squirming like she has ants in her pants.
The long summer nights have begun,
And the moon in the night sky is as bright as the sun.

It is her favorite time of the year,
The crisp warm air hugging her like a blanket.
Fireflies buzz around her,
glowing like defective flashlights soaring around in a blur.
