The Room With Him (Living Description Challenge)

At first glance it wasn’t much, but while sitting beside him I looked around.

The walls were pale, showing the grimness of a hospital room. The light on the ceiling was buzzing as if to annoy me. No painting or posters, just blank.

Only one window and it seemed to only let a bit of light come threw the blinds, trapped the rest. The window blocked the noise of the city, the city he loved.

The table next to me was all cold metal. It did nothing to put any warmness into the room. Only adds to the cold. On the table were some flowers I brought, the only color in this room besides the green blankets he slept in. The roses told me of his love for him. I brought them in today as I do everyday, hoping he will wake up one day to see them.

On the other side of his hospital bed was a machine. It beeped at every beat of his heart. It was reassuring me he was still alive.
