The Mall

We decided to go see a movie tonight. We do this a lot.

“Ahh, the old movie theater.”

“You know it’s in a mall, right? It’s not even a decade old.”

“I know, I was joking, you’re always so literal, Haley.”

“What are you saying?”

“Nothing… forget it.”

“No, what were you going to say?”

“It’s just…you’re always so uptight, you just need to know when to relax.”

We’re in the food court and at this point I stop in the middle of the crowd.

“I know when to relax and stop being uptight.”

“I know…”

“I know when to stop.”

“Wait, this isn’t about what I said, is it?”

“Never mind…. Just never mind.”, I say with a change in tone.

“No, what’s wrong?”

Shaking my head and look at him, “You never stop talking about her, it goes on and on, everyday.”, I say about to cry, “And I’m tired of it, I’m just tired of it.”, I turn and run.

“Haley, Haley, wait.”
