Another Random Portrait of My Current Activities

The girl sighed and shifted in her chair. Her head tilted slowly as she typed quickly, her mind completely drawn by the computer screen. She made frequent mistakes, and the now-familiar clack of the backspace key sounded often throughout the room.
The room was large, with white concrete walls and a green laminated floor. It was lit with long fluorescent lights and filled with tables dominated by computers. A raised platform sat at one end of the class, where a teacher sat, occasionally reprimanding a student or making a joke. As a rule it was a sixth grade class, but the girl stood out, being a foot taller than everyone else as an eighth grader. She had curly, light brown hair and pale blue eyes framed by chunky, purple plastic cat-eye glasses. She wore a drab maroon and gray uniform, with gray kneesocks that slid slowly down her legs. All that could be seen of her computer was a largely white screen with an strange orange printed word on the top- Ficlets.
