Second and Third Thoughts

Jolinda would hate the idea of a bachelor party.
I really wish now that I hadn’t mentioned anything to Jason about my doubts concerning marrying Jolinda.

As soon as I got home, there she was, waiting, with that look on her face, the one that said, ‘Parker, where have you been?’.
“Parker, where have you been?”, Jolinda bellowed.
Before I had a chance to answer, she prattled on,
“We are late with our appointment with Fr. Mullen, you know how he gets when people come late to mass, imagine how he will react if we waltz in there late.”
She said a lot more, but I didn’t hear a word of it.

Why was I even here. Jason buddy, after you meet Jolinda, you’ll understand why I want to back out of the wedding before it gets too far out of hand and I can’t escape.
“Keep your coat on. We’re taking your car, mine is low on gas. Daddy is meeting us at the Club afterward to discuss the reception. I wish you hadn’t worn the red tie. Will you walk faster I told you we’re late..”
