New Town, New Problems, New Friends (II)
A few weeks passed after Maia had I had became best friends. She had showed me about the school and its different classes of people.
“And there are the ‘cute guys’” She said. One of the jocks smiled at Maia.
“Oh, who is that?” I said, smiling.
“Andy, one of the jocks.” She seemed not to notice.
“Well, he seems like he kinda likes you” I said, trying to cheer her up.
“Please, they are all the same. Like a girl, and by next week your dumped. I don’t roll like that.” She began walking away. I stayed behind a few seconds and talked to this ‘Andy’.
” Hi, Andy. I saw you that looked at Maia. Do you.. like her?” I said, felling weird asking him, after I knew him for 5 seconds.
“Well, does she like me?” He asked, nervously.
“We’ll have to see about that. Met me at Italian Bistro at 7. Don’t be late. Maia will be there.” I said an ran to class. It felt wrong not telling Maia, and taking her on a blind date. But she seemed to like her and she kinda looked like she liked him. Well we’ll have to find out tonight.
