I’d like to point out that as Satan is merely an angel (albeit a renegade one), his equal is Michael, not God. Angels are lesser beings than humans, so we do have control over Satan.

Of course, we only have that power if we are aware of it. Whether or not Simon, Blake, et al are aware remains to be seen.
