By My Locker

I can’t believe it. I just hung up on him. Well, actually I can believe it. He’s just worried about his girlfriend. Ugh. He doesn’t care about me at all anymore, does he?

I just… Why does it have to be so one-sided? Why can’t I not care about him too?

I half expected him to call me back. But he didn’t.

However, he was right there at my locker the next day.

“Ok. You hung up on me. Now I definatly know you’re mad at Sam.”

“Well then, why don’t you go ask Sam.”

“Well”

“Well, what? Are you scared to talk to your own girlfriend?” I knew I was being harsh. But I couldn’t help it, I was mad. “Or, did you guys break up? Because you weren’t really talking to her yesterday.”

“No, I’m not scared. You’re just… Well you’re easier to talk to. Than she is. And, the reason we weren’t talking was because, I was sort of ignoring her.” Wow, was he blushing? “I didn’t know if she had done anything to you. And if she had, I wanted her to know that wasn’t okay with me.”

I just stood there, awestruck.
