“La-la-laboratory,” I stuttered, too surprised to even ask how he knew my name or what he was doing in my grandma’s house.
“Yes, my laboratory,” he said, acting as if we were old friends talking over a pot of tea.
“It’s been here for years, not un-beknownst to your grandma Catherine,” he said, waiting to see how I reacted.
“So you know my grandma?” I blurted rather stupidly. He did not seem to notice.
