Healed
As I sat on the uncomfortable metal chair, I watched the doctor examine me.
This is utterly pointless.
“Looks like we’ll have to bandage you up.” He said.
Don’t bother.
I shivered as I felt the blood in my veins mix with the cold metal… I looked down at my wound, a chunk of flesh gone from my arm. I felt no pain. I never did. Instead of blood creeping out of the wound, a metallic liquid crept out of my veins. I watched it form and mold over the wound until it was level with the skin. I felt the liquid become solid and fuse with the open tissues.
All this time, my trainer and drill sergeant were proudly staring at me.
Whatever.
I got my suit back on and took a break in the gym.
