Duct tape and Plastic (Don't Get Defensive Challenge ;)

They sat glued to the television for six days. The threat they’d been warned about was finally real.

“Bet you don’t think I’m so crazy now do you?” Jesse asked Karen. His bloodshot eyes begged to differ. The dark circles underneath from lack of sleep didn’t help the effect.

The walls were lined with canned goods and bottled water. There were only walking paths in the house from the mass of supplies Jesse had been hoarding up for months; since the first warnings of bio/ chemical attacks. He had completely wiped out their life savings while stocking up.

Karen could only think of the house covered entirely with plastic sheeting. Each and every seam carefully sealed with duct tape, no way a single atom of oxygen could could get in through Jesse’s meticulous work. He had even taken the time to get under the house in the crawl space and seal the bottom side once the paranoia had utterly sank in.

Now, here they were in a death trap of their own creation. He paced and she waited for their suffocation.
