Gasp! I don’t think his son would want to remember him like that! His son is probably going to be humilated now. And the poor father, I think the pressure has driven him mad. Really good story.

A skillful and ominous twist. You delve so well into the inner-workings of your character’s minds. I have long wondered how many ‘monsters’ are created by things like intolerably high expectations, either of parents or the person him/herself, and the feeling of being too ordinary or common. (Then again, most heroes emerge from the same circumstances… I’m thinking Johnny Cash for some reason when I say hero).
