Spring Thaw

It was that first warm day after the snows had melted. the flowers and trees began to bud as the birds sang. She opened the windows wide and breathed in the fresh spring air. Seeing the world bright and fresh gave her new hope and she couldn’t help, but smile a little despite still feeling the twinges of loss. She streched out her arms to the sun.

She slipped on a yellow floral dress and decided to enjoy the sunshine in the park. The walk there was peaceful and quiet offering her time to reflect.

I’m lucky I don’t have alergies. It leaves me free to enjoy sunny days.

It’s funny how something as simple as a sunny day can lift your spirits

She smiled and watched as the river sparkled in the sunlight. Each little thing seemed a gift of nature to cherish.

It’s true I need to cherish my joys while I have them. If nothing else, he taught me that

She sighed and continued to watch as the children played.

“Amy”

She turned at the sound of that voice. It was him.
