Anthony sighed as he let himself into his apartment. Yet another Friday night spent at home with no other company but his cat Mr. Smithers and oh yeah, that cute delivery girl, if she happened to be working tonight when he ordered his usual, a large pizza with extra cheese, easy on the sauce.

He blamed nobody but himself. He was so boring he even bored himself. He didn’t want to inflict that on anyone else. And suppose he worked up the nerve to ask out that cute pizza delivery girl, what would he talk about on their date? His video game collection?

Anthony loosened his tie as he sat in front of his computer. Then he turned on the monitor and picked up his phone, dialing the number he knew by heart.

He turned away from his desk as someone on the other end picked up. It sounded like that cute delivery girl.

“Joe’s Pizza!”

“Um, yeah, I’d like to order a large pizza with extra cheese, easy on the sauce.”

He was so preoccupied that he didn’t notice the strange flickering coming from his computer screen…
