Great Balls Of Fire

“Sorry I’m late, I had speak to Mr Sylvester and the man can sure talk. What did I miss?” Dylan and Drew knocked fists. I slouched down in my seat and glued my eyes to the floor.

“Nothing,” Jessica trilled “I was just getting started. Let’s pick a scene…”

Around me, my group debated scenes. I was concentrating on breathing, and keeping my eyes off Dylan. I had the feeling that if I looked at him something bad would happen – apocalypse, disaster and destruction, or I might just burst into furious tears, all stuff I’m keen to avoid.

“Claire? What do you think?” I looked up. My eyes found Dylan’s face, but looking at him was like looking directly at the sun, and my eyes flicked away of their own accord. “Act 2, Scene 2 is kinda the most famous, right?” I mumbled.
“Right!” Jessica agreed. She was smiling like the Cheshire cat. “The balcony scene is perfect. It’s totally romantic and intense…”
