Macy 29: Celebrate
Macy turned and willed herself to leave. But Shane grabbed her forearm, pulling her back to him. He gripped her tightly.
“Let go of me.” She whined.
Shane ignored her struggles and put his lips at her. “Stay with Derrick all you want. You can’t hide from me forever.”
“That’s the plan.” Macy told him, finally breaking free and running up the hill. To safety. To Derrick. But he wasn’t there. Macy searched around the park and it appeared that Derrick had left. She went home, defeated, planning to just see him at school on Monday.
As Monday came, Macy saw Derrick in the hall from a far. When he turned, his eye looked swollen, but he smiled smugly.
“What happened?” Macy asked.
“Wish I could say I killed Macon in a fight, but really he’s just hurt.”
“Oh my god! Are you serious?”
“Yup.”
“How hurt is he?” I winced at the amount of pain from him and Shane that could possibly be a result from this.
“Oh enough. Macy, don’t stress yourself, celebrate!” He shouted the end, laughing out loud.
