Grasping
I hadn’t ever actually met a vampire face-to-face. Now that I had, a lot of the stories I’d heard seemed a little off. He didn’t seem at all like the vicious animal they had been acclaimed to be. He seemed, pardon my expression, human. But I didn’t let my guard down. He had, after all, brought me here against my will, by biting me; something I was not likely to forget.
“So…” I started slowly, struggling to grasp everything he had claimed so far,”You say that the Fae were literally obliterated by the Warlocks? But they managed to create a spell so powerful it would turn me, or at least someone into a Fae that would bring back the Fae into the world?”
“Yes, called quite simply The Fae. In our language: Nu Fænchi,” he replied.
I nodded, though I didn’t really see the point of that piece of information, and continued,”And your… people,” his eyes darkened as he noticed my struggle to say ‘people’ “At first celebrated the Fae’s downfall, until the Warlocks-”
“Became worse enemies,”he completed for me.
