I woke up to the sun shining brightly through my open window, the curtains flapped easily in the breeze. “Myra! Breakfast.” I heard my mom shout up the steps. I groaned as I turned over my last night clothes, still on, were now wrinkled. I jumped up reluctantly and walked down to breakfast.
“Mom, not to burst your bubble of sunshine, but it’s 5:00 in the morning. Isn’t breakfast supposed to be later I mean for when your awake.” By the look on my mom’s face she wasn’t happy with my sarcastic voice. “Maybe for everyone else but Myra if I don’t wake you up early to eat and shower, well you wouldn’t be ready for school.” My mom talked to me in a tone she used when she babysat my cousin two years ago. “I can take care of myself, thank you very much!” I said angirly turning on my heal and walking back up the steps.
“And just where do you think your going young lady?” My father asked, his voice wasn’t at all happy. “To take my shower.” I grumbled ambling past him carefully. He grabbed my sleeve, turning me.
