Three Simple Truths
What world do we live in?
To an outsider, our world is one of beauty, grace, and excellence. But if you live in this lost, forsaken land, you know to never judge a book by its cover. You must be ready and alert for anything that may befall us, whether good or bad.
If you live in this world, then you know three things that are truth:
War is Peace.
Freedom is Slavery.
Ignorance is Strength.
These truths do not justify our living, nor do they justify our death. For how can something as trivial as words justify the power of life? How can a simple truth affect the life of a young teenage boy signed up for war? How can a simple truth effect the life of a war veteran, aged with the unbearable weight of his fighting memories? how can a simple truth affect us, the American people, see this national tradgety through different eyes, needy eyes. Eyes in need of help, the eyes of those who our helpless to society. Do these truths justify their living, too?
