I loved the first paragraph. It has such a dark, brooding quality to it, but also a little glimmer of hope through connection to others as well. Now, you’ve done it… I’ll have to read the entire series. ;)

Not to mention the last paragraph as well. Really the whole piece is amazingly well done.
