Trippin'
As he lay, basking, in post-coital bliss, a strange thing began to happen. Lights began to appear out of nowhere, flickering into and out of life. Colors also bloomed in front of his eyes, like flowers exploding into being. And his eyes were not the only things to notice changes. He began to hear a strange music. Almost like an aboriginal jungle beat, but with instruments he’d never heard the equal of. His body began to twitch in time with the beat. Next, the sweet smell of fruit assaulted his nostrils. The essence was beyond the realm of normal, everyday fruit. Sweeter, more acidic, even more bitter than anything imaginable. He longed to taste that essence. Then, just as suddenly as it had come, it began to fade away. Once the last note had played and the world returned to normal, he turned to the lovely lady beside him in utter amazement.
“What did you do to me?”
She only smiled and turned away to catch the ever elusion slumber.
