Relax, You Know I Have The Game
Tom eyed me, suspiciously.
“What are you talking about?” Tom finally asked. “I hardly even know Jodi. I’ve never studied with her before. That was Mendez.”
“And no offense, Jordan,” Tom said, grinning. ” But you’re the last person I would take relationship advice from. Considering your attempts to woo her have gone so brilliantly.”
“Okay, okay. Just trying to help. She’s just so vile. I really want this to work.”
Tom twisted his eyebrow up. “I think your jealousy and twisted passion for revenge has gotten the best of you. If Jodi was so awful and vain, why did you have such a thing for her in the first place?”
“Have you ever stopped to think that maybe I’m exactly as superficial as I appear to be? She’s gorgeous.”
“Can’t argue with that. Look, Jordan. You need to sit back and relax. You had the scheme. You know I have the game. Let me take care of it.”
“But what if she doesn’t go for you?”
“That, my friend,” said Tom confidently, “is an impossibility. She’ll be mine by dessert.”
