I just didn’t think Satan would want to sit back and let monsters destroy the world. I figured he would prefer the world (or at least humanity) to fall as a result of its inherent flaws. He could very well have set something in motion the last time he was on Earth or at some more distant point in history. And we don’t know if Lilith will call off Cthulu after all.
