He walked over to the outer edge of the circle of candles while she sat there looking at him in anticipation. As he walked around the circle, he placed his outstretched palm above each candle and began walking around the outer edge. Moondust watched as one by one the candles took flame. When he completed the circle, Moondust sat in the middle of a circle of fire among the largest unlit candles. “When practicing the magic, Moondust, always remember the circle. The circle is loyalty. Know your loyalties, Moondust. Know who you are loyal to now and always. Only a fool practices the dark art in the dark. You have mastered the art of chandlering, and for that I am proud.
