Intriguing. I was drawn in in by your title and the story did not disappoint. I liked how the story made me feel as disoriented as John by not quite disclosing who is speaking to him, and how he still felt dread despite no nervous system. Looking forward to more.

Great setting and dilemma, and he did not do what I expected. Nice job surprising me. I think I have a tendency to over-identify with my characters and make them fit into the mold of some paragon of archaic virtue. You’ve inspired me to make a less-than-noble character! Thanks.
