Baby Zombies

Before I could faint with shock there was a high-pitched squealing sound and I was suddenly surrounded by many tiny bouncing Zombies.
“Um,” I said, looking to Davincent for some kind of explanation. The mini-zombies were squeaking as they bounced around me.
Davincent smiled, “They’re babies. They’re born with more energy then they will ever have again. They lose it as they age and become transparent until they finally simply fade away.”
Other Zombies of varying transparencies approached me now, all muttering “Fae,” in slower, lower voices.
I suddenly realized this was what the young Zombies around me were squealing: Fae.
Davincent slowly managed to extract me from the squealing young ones, saying, “We must go, sorry, much to show The Fae. Much to do.”
He dragged me out, at soon as we were free of the room I collapsed on the ground by the wall in disbelief.
“I.. I thought the Zombies were… were gone,” I stuttered.
Davincent shook his head, “That is what the Warlocks believe. No, they have joined us.”
