Thank God for Real Cops
Pretty soon, the cops were there, and the guards were totally unsuspecting. I mean, they didn’t pay attention to us talking. I had to shove Alphonse to keep him from laughing almost every second. A cruiser pulled up, lights on. I could see it through the glass doors.
“Over here! Here!” I yell when two guys come in. “They won’t let us leave.” The younger cop, obviously with some vamp blood in him, steps forward.
“Any particular reason you’re holding these kids here?” He asks, his tone grave. The guard nods, a wide-ass grin on his face. Oh please, does he honestly think he’s going to win this guy over with an overcharged smile?
“Well, yeah. Actually both of them were bothering the same bunch of girls. Probably a lesbian thing, for the girl. The guy I-”
“Where are the girls?” The guard balks. “Aren’t they here, too? That girl looks pretty hurt.” His eyes show concern as he moves around the desk, “You ok?” I shake my head, wincing as my neck twinges. Just then the girls walk by, and I point. “Hey, girls.”
