Libraries and Hadron Colliders

Oh, I completely forgot to mention that hadron collider thing. It got switched on in 2008 or something, right? Yeah, that went over like a lead balloon (which we actually now have, long story about spy cameras and security). I don’t really remember but the details, but that’s how the area between France and Switzerland got so messed up. What was it supposed to do? All I remember hearing is that it proved some laws of physics, melting a tunnel in the process.

Anyway, Alphonse and I drove to the library, where I immediately got to work transferring more books to computer. It’s pretty sweet, we have most of the books in the world (well, the ones that aren’t too delicate to photograph) in the tubes now. It was tough at the beginning, but there was a lot of support for it. It makes reading so much cheaper- and you actually get the feel of a real book as opposed to a white screen (ouch after a while, you know?).

Our boss, Anika, is a bright green sprite who has a love for trivia. Today, she gets to work by me.
