I Just Needed Answers

I wiped my eyes, and instantly came off eyeliner and tears. “What do you think happened?” I asked Hannah, confused. She shrugged, “I don’t know, I know as much as you do.” I turned my gaze out the window.
“I hope he’s okay.” She nodded in agreement. I shoved my hands in my pockets, full of the candy I opened earlier. I didn’t need sweets now. I just needed answers.
As I looked out the window, I saw we were on the same street as the bank that always gave us lollipops when we went. Police cars were parked in the parking lot, lights flashing.
“Wonder what’s going on over there.” I said. “Uh-huh,” Hannah mumbled.
If only I knew what was coming…
