Embarrassed
“Jeez, how come you always seem to be following me?” I asked, walking ahead of him.
“Well…instinct?” he said, smiling nervously.
“I think ‘stalker’ would fit the profile better,” I grunted, heaving my textbooks into my better grip.
“Aww, don’t say that, Haine,” he whimpered, and gave me puppy eyes.
“Bambi eyes don’t get to me, Ryuuki; I’ve had enough practice with Coco at home,” I sighed, and pulled my hair out of my face.
“Besides,” he frowned, “Who did you think I was?”
My face turned red with embarrassment.
He eyed me curiously, and then prodded again.
“No one!” I replied heatedly.
“Well, seeing you scared was a treat,” he smiled a goofy smile, showing his pointed fangs.
I felt my jaw set.
“Say that one more time and you’re taking a one way trip to the moon,” I growled, and marched forward.
“Why? Bothered by a compliment?” he said, jumping in front of me and cutting me off.
“I don’t take that as a compliment.”
“Well, how about this?”
He leaned over and kissed me, and I eyed him sternly.
That counts.
