The Dead and Alive
I pushed the bodies off my heaving chest and wiped down my blood soaked shirt. I remember when I used to work the night shift downtown as a security guard for a shopping center, and some commercial buildings. It was the only job I could think of that’d keep me away from people. All I wanted was to be left alone. The apathetic treatment and unholy coldness people had for eachother disgusted me. Now, I’m pushing these lifeless zombies off me, wondering if life existed at all.
