She slowly put her arms around me. As soon as I finished, I found myself having tears coming down my face. I couldn’t hold it in much longer. I just let it all out. All Lauren did was hang on to me like I needed to be helped from falling, losing myself.
I was lost in my mind at that moment. I didn’t know what to do.
“I don’t know what is going on.” I said in a shaky voice. “Everything is just tearing me apart…”
Lauren looked up at me and I looked back. I looked into her eyes and I felt something really warm inside. All my thoughts were starting to disappear and all I saw was her, and nothing else. It was like we were in our own little world.
“I’m sorry Ryan…” she said.
She leaned in closer and closer as I did too. Right before our lips were touching, the bell rung and we both paused there. We knew we should be heading to class at that moment, but we just sat there in the same position. We didn’t know what to do.
Why does the bell have to do this?
