Just a Guy

I stood in line at the consession stand hearing the roar of the screaming fans watching the game. Finally, It was my turn to order. “Um, I’ll take two cokes and a popcorn.” I said. “That’ll be $7.42.” The lady said. I walked off with the hot popcorn in one hand and the cool drinks in the other. I looked up at the thousands of people and spotted my friend. I squeezed by a man in the crowd of rushing people. For a brief moment we caught eyes. “Excuse me,” he said, his sparkling green eyes following me as he walked on. And in that brief moment I got a feeling I had never had before. I turned to look back at him when I heard my name,” Bella!There you are! Where were you?” Called Annie, my best friend.
“The line was long, sorry.” I told her. I handed her one of the cokes and the popcorn bag. Then I looked back, but he was nowhere in sight. I followed Annie back to our seats and watched the football game..
