A Diamond From the Sky
My nephew had found a diamond and brought it to my door.
It was bluer then the ocean and larger than the Hope Diamond.
A treasure such as no human eye had ever seen.
“Where did you foind this diamond?,” I asked my nephew.
“It seemed to have like fallen from the sky,” he said, his voice rising an octave.
“Are you telling me the truth?,” I questioned.
“I didn’t steal it,” He quickly stated.
The blue diamond began to glow. For a split second I had a flash in my mind of Superman and Kryptonite.
I dropped the diamond onto the kitchen floor, turned out the light and we starred at it’s magnificence in silent wonderment.
