Vampire Love
His guilt instantly made me feel terrible. I took in a deep breath, steadying my emotions, trying to separate them from his. It was in vain. I was so connected to Davincent I was beginning to think I would die if separated from him. No. I was sure I would die if I was separated from him.
“Davin, I love you. There is nothing that can change that. No matter of abilities. No magic. Nothing.”
He didn’t speak. Thoughts are faster than words.
I love you too.
“So stop feeling guilty or unworthy. There is no one in the world I’d rather be with. There is no one who deserves me more than you.”
That isn’t true. There are a million others who are better for you than me.
I shook my head, “No, Davin. I couldn’t be happy with anyone else. I love you. I want you.”
He believed me, I could hear it in his thoughts. He played with a strand of my hair, humming softly. I blew a gentle plume of blue smoke at him. He smiled, sniffing deeply.
Your smoke smells delicious.
I bit his neck softly, “You’re delicious.”
