It was a rainy summer evening in the year 2125 when the trouble started. Charlotte, Joe, and Tony were sitting eating ice cream under an oak tree, watching the leaves drip and contemplating their benign high school lives. They didn’t hear the news reports come on to say there had been a coup, and that the entire country was now in the hands of a group called “The Antarch.” They didn’t hear the announcement from Chancellor Thomas that all “undesirables” like homosexuals, the handicapped, and minorities would rounded up like cattle to be placed in camps or deported. They didn’t know their lives had just taken a turn so drastic that nothing could ever be the same.
The Antarch had been a force for years, and Charlotte herself had formerly been an assassin for the organization. She was supposed to kill Tony, but had instead befriended him and…well here she was living with him.
No these three teenagers had no way of knowing that they would end up fighting for their lives and trying to win back the old government.
