Not Everybody Gets Along
Cheshire sat sullenly in the rooms she had claimed for herself on the third floor towards the back of the house, nursing her broken nose and hating the world in general. For a thirty-something accountant she was terribly temperamental.
Joe knocked on the door, but didn’t wait for an answer as she barged in.
“Look, I’m sorry you’re mad about the house and I know I should have talked to everybody first but you can’t stay mad at me forever!”
“Watch me.” Cheshire didn’t look up from the pint of ice cream she was attacking.
Joe, sensing this would be a hard battle, immediately put on her cute-but-pouty face. “But Chessy! Everybody makes mistakes, even you, and look you got a really big, really nice new set of rooms to use! And Charlotte is in the other wing!”
”...I didn’t know Charlotte was here at all….”
“You didn’t? Damn. Can I just say that—?”
“Get out Joe.”
